Ingredients
- 2 stone-fired flatbreads
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices American cheese
- 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced 1/2-inch thick
- 2 pickles, thinly sliced
- 1 lb whole milk mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
- Ketchup and mustard, for drizzling
- Garlic aioli and baby arugula, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Brush melted butter around the edges of the flatbreads and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place on prepared baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes.
3. While flatbreads are par-baking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain any excess grease.
4. Add American cheese slices to the cooked beef and stir until melted.
5. Drizzle ketchup and mustard in a zigzag pattern over the par-baked flatbreads. Top with grated mozzarella cheese, cooked ground beef, tomato slices, and pickle slices.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
7. Garnish with garlic aioli and baby arugula. Slice and serve immediately.
