Description

This copycat Chilis blackberry tea recipe is naturally sweetened, refreshing, and easy to make at home. You’ll love this healthier twist on the restaurant favorite—with juicy blackberry syrup, bold black tea, and a splash of lemon.

Ingredients

  • 4 black tea bags (or 2 tbsp loose-leaf black tea)
  • 1 cup blackberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: mint leaves, lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil 4 cups of water and steep black tea bags for 10–12 minutes for a strong brew. Let cool.
  • In a small saucepan, combine blackberries and ½ cup water. Simmer for 8–10 minutes, mashing the berries.
  • Strain the syrup and stir in honey or maple syrup while warm. Let it cool.
  • In a large pitcher, mix brewed tea, lemon juice, and blackberry syrup.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint or lemon.

Notes

  • Use green tea instead of black for a lighter version.
  • Add sparkling water to make a fizzy variation.
  • You can substitute the syrup with monk fruit sweetener or dates for a refined sugar-free option.
