Description

Tender shrimp in a creamy garlic butter parmesan sauce, served over warm rice for a quick, comforting one-pan dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/3 cup parmesan, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower)
  • Fresh parsley or green onion, for garnish

Instructions

1. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Sear shrimp in 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat until pink, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside.

3. Lower heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic to the pan. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Stir in cream, parmesan, and lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.

5. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes more.

6. Serve shrimp and sauce over warm rice.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion. Enjoy!

Notes

Use plant-based butter and cream for a dairy-free version.

Add vegetables like spinach or peas to make it more filling.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave, adding a splash of cream if needed.
