Description
Creamy Ranch Chicken in the Crockpot is a comforting, low-effort meal that’s full of rich flavor. Tender chicken breasts slow-cooked in a creamy ranch sauce make for a perfect family dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
- ½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
2. In a medium bowl, combine ranch seasoning, heavy cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
3. Pour the sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
5. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken. Cover and let it melt.
6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta to soak up the creamy sauce.
Notes
Use thicker chicken breasts to keep them juicy and prevent over-shredding.
Stir gently before serving to maintain a creamy consistency.
If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or chicken broth to loosen it.
You can prep the sauce and chicken the night before for quicker morning setup.
Variations include adding bacon, vegetables, or spicy seasonings to customize the dish.
