Description

Crispy golden chicken tossed in a sticky honey garlic glaze, served over creamy garlic rotini pasta — the perfect balance of crunchy, creamy, sweet, and savory.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • lbs chicken breasts or thighs, sliced
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper
  • Oil for frying

Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 34 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (rice or apple cider)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water

Creamy Pasta:

  • 12 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 23 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

1. Cook rotini pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.

3. Dredge chicken slices in the flour mixture, then dip into egg, and coat again in the flour mixture.

4. Fry the chicken pieces in hot oil until golden and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

5. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and vinegar. Simmer until slightly reduced.

6. Mix 1 tsp cornstarch with 1 tbsp water to create a slurry. Stir into the sauce and simmer until thickened.

7. Toss the fried chicken in the honey garlic sauce until evenly coated.

8. In a large skillet, sauté minced garlic in butter and olive oil until fragrant.

9. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.

10. Add cooked rotini and reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce. Toss to coat.

11. Plate the creamy pasta and top with saucy honey garlic chicken. Garnish as desired.

Notes

Add chili flakes to the honey garlic sauce if you prefer a spicy kick.

For a lighter version, bake or air fry the chicken instead of deep frying.

Serve with a fresh green salad or warm garlic bread for a complete meal.
