Description

Sheet pan sausage and sweet potatoes with a flavorful honey garlic glaze make for a quick, easy, and satisfying one-pan dinner. Ready in just 40 minutes, this beginner-friendly meal is perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Main:

  • 14 ounces chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

Glaze:

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Finishing Touch:

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely minced

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly coat with nonstick spray.

2. Arrange sliced sausage, diced sweet potatoes, and broccoli florets in an even layer on the prepared sheet pan.

3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Pour the honey garlic glaze evenly over the sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. Toss to coat thoroughly.

6. Roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until sweet potatoes are fork-tender and sausage is browned.

7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with freshly minced parsley before serving.

Notes

Substitute Italian sausage for a richer flavor, or use plant-based sausage and maple syrup for a vegan alternative.

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze for a spicy kick.

Try other vegetables like bell peppers, Brussels sprouts, or onions for variety.

Leftovers store well for up to 4 days in the fridge—great for meal prep.
