Description

A delightful and comforting one-pot meal made in your slow cooker. This Easy Slow Cooker Chicken and Stuffing recipe features tender chicken breasts, creamy sauce, savory stuffing, and crisp green beans for a hearty, fuss-free dinner everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 (6 oz) box chicken-flavored Stove Top stuffing mix
  • 1 (12 oz) bag frozen green beans


Instructions

1. Arrange chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. Optionally filet them for faster cooking.

2. Season the chicken thoroughly with garlic salt.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup and sour cream. Mix until smooth.

4. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the chicken in the crockpot.

5. Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix over the top of the soup layer.

6. Spread the frozen green beans over the stuffing layer.

7. Cover with the crockpot lid and cook on high for 3–4 hours or low for 6–8 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shredded.

8. Serve warm and enjoy!


Notes

Chicken should be tender and fall apart easily when done cooking.

 

You can substitute cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup for variety.

 

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5–6 days.

 

This dish pairs well with cranberry sauce or a simple side salad for balance.
