Description

Tender, juicy chicken bathed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a splash of wine for extra flavor! This easy stovetop chicken recipe is ready in just 15 minutes and will become a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded to an even thickness (4 average-sized breasts)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons 21 Salute Seasoning or poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • ½ cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. To a large skillet, add the olive oil and pounded chicken. Season evenly with 21 Salute, salt, and pepper.

2. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes without moving the chicken to allow searing.

3. Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes, or until fully cooked through.

4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a plate to rest.

5. Deglaze the skillet by carefully adding the wine or broth. Let it bubble and steam for a few seconds.

6. Add the butter to the skillet and stir continuously until melted, about 1 minute.

7. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, stirring continuously.

8. Turn off the heat. Return the chicken to the skillet, flip it in the garlic butter sauce, and spoon the sauce over the top.

9. Optionally garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

White wine adds a richer flavor to the sauce, but chicken broth can be used as an alternative.

Make sure not to move the chicken while searing to develop a golden crust.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 4 months.
