Description
This healthier chocolate chip banana bread is soft, moist, and naturally sweetened with coconut sugar. It’s dairy-free, gluten-free, and made with wholesome oat flour for a comforting breakfast or snack that satisfies your sweet tooth the smart way.
Ingredients

- 3 spotty bananas
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups oat flour (see note for homemade)
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup avocado oil
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- A few shakes of cinnamon
- Chocolate chips (mixed in and for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork.
- Add eggs, oat flour, coconut sugar, oil, sea salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into lined loaf pan and top with additional chocolate chips.
- Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool before slicing and enjoy!
Notes
- You can make oat flour by blending rolled oats in a high-speed blender until fine.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
- Freezes well when sliced and stored in individual freezer bags.
