Description

Savor the delightful blend of sweet and savory in this quick Honey Sesame Chicken recipe, perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup pure honey
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare ingredients by chopping garlic and slicing chicken into bite-sized pieces.

2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, and sesame oil to create the marinade.

3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes.

4. Pour the marinade over the cooked chicken and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.

5. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.

Serve with steamed rice or noodles to make it a full meal.

Add sautéed vegetables like broccoli or bell peppers for extra crunch and nutrition.

To thicken the sauce more, mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water before adding to the skillet.

This dish can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
