This cold Spinach Dip Recipe is quick and easy to make in just 10 minutes. With cottage cheese and fresh spinach, this no-bake dip is perfect for party snacks, light appetizers, and weekly dinners. Healthy, high protein, low calorie, and keto โ a true crowd pleaser!
Ingredients
- 9 oz. (250 g) fresh spinach, or thawed frozen spinach
- 1 ยฝ cup (330 g) cottage cheese
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ยฝ to 1 tsp garlic powder, to taste
- ยฝ tsp kosher salt, more to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Steam, cook, or sautรฉ the spinach. Allow it to cool, then squeeze out all the excess water and chop finely.
2. If using frozen spinach, thaw it ahead of time, then drain and chop.
3. In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine cottage cheese with mayonnaise, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Blend on high until smooth.
4. Taste the mixture and adjust seasonings if necessary.
5. Transfer the cottage cheese cream to a bowl and stir in the chopped spinach until fully combined.
6. Serve immediately with bread, croutons, or crackers, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes
You can use frozen spinach to save timeโjust make sure to drain it thoroughly.
For a tangier dip, add a teaspoon of lemon juice or a pinch of chili flakes.
This dip also works great as a spread for wraps and sandwiches.
Make it dairy-free by substituting with plant-based cottage cheese and mayo.
