Description
A vibrant, protein-packed salad bowl with lean turkey patties, crisp veggies, and a zesty avocado-based sauce. Perfect for a quick, healthy meal that satisfies burger cravings without the heaviness of traditional buns.
Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
2 teaspoons olive oil (plus more for cooking)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup avocado mayo
2 tablespoons ketchup (such as Primal Kitchen)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon pickle juice or apple cider vinegar
½ cup chopped romaine lettuce
½ cup sliced cherry tomatoes (halved)
â…“ cup sliced red onion (thinly sliced)
â…“ cup sliced pickles
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Combine ground turkey, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into 4 patties with indented centers.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until browned and no longer pink.
In a small bowl, whisk avocado mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and pickle juice/vinegar until smooth.
Assemble bowls with romaine, tomatoes, red onion, pickles, and cheddar. Top with turkey patties and drizzle with sauce.
Notes
Use low-sodium ketchup for a lighter flavor. Substitute cheddar with vegan cheese for a dairy-free option. Add avocado slices or arugula for extra creaminess or crunch.
