Description

Transform your kitchen into a sanctuary with this restorative, soul-satisfying bowl of Ultimate Chicken Ramen. Crafted with a deeply savory chicken-based broth infused with aromatic ginger, garlic, and rich miso, this recipe creates a perfect harmony of flavors. By utilizing bone-in chicken thighs and fresh vegetables, you achieve a restaurant-quality meal that is far superior to any instant version. It is a nourishing, balanced, and comforting experience that warms the body and calms the spirit.

Ingredients

4 bone-in chicken thighs
6 cups low-sodium chicken stock
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 inches fresh ginger, thinly sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp white miso paste
1 tbsp sesame oil
4 servings ramen noodles
1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
2 cups fresh spinach
Optional: soft-boiled eggs, scallions, or nori for topping

Instructions

Heat sesame oil in a large heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.
Add garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
Add chicken thighs and sear until lightly browned on both sides.
Pour in the chicken stock and bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 40 minutes.
Remove chicken, shred the meat, and return it to the pot.
Whisk in the soy sauce and miso paste until fully incorporated.
In a separate pot, cook ramen noodles according to package directions.
Add mushrooms and spinach to the broth and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.
Divide noodles into bowls, pour over the hot broth, and add desired toppings.

Notes

Using bone-in chicken is crucial for extracting collagen for a silky mouthfeel. For a gluten-free version, substitute soy sauce with coconut aminos. The broth can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days for enhanced flavor depth.
