1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (vegetarian-friendly)
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp Italian seasoning
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and Italian seasoning
Add chicken breasts and coat evenly

Proceed with grilling, roasting, or pan-searing as desired, removing chicken from marinade before cooking
Notes
For optimal results, marinate for 4-6 hours. Discard used marinade; do not reuse. Substitute honey for brown sugar for a sweeter profile. Use gluten-free soy sauce if needed.
Marinated chicken can be frozen for up to 2 months (thaw before cooking).
